A life as a DJ isn’t all people think it is. It isn’t an endless party, a ride that never ends. It’s a wild time for sure, but it is a lot of work. Every day you’re down to play, you’re spending it getting your equipment ready, sorted and making sure it’s all operational. If you’re good, everything is fine. If something breaks, then you’ve got to get it sorted before you step up to that booth. Good luck. Still, when it all goes well then it is a wonderful job to have.

My name is Damien Winters, and I’m a DJ and photographer. That’s my life, that’s how I live it. Everyone has to find their own path overall, and this is what works for me. By day I arrange shoots and work in a photography studio, whilst at night I switch gears and spin discs. It’s a dichotomy that works well for me, but it may not for everyone.

I made this site to share what I’ve learned along the way on this strange path of mine. The world of music is loud and neverending, with cheers of “Booya!” echoing out through countless clubs across the world. That’s why I chose this name for this site. It seems a good reflection of the scene. I’m not a writer by nature, but I figured it would be a good chance to try and learn a bit more about it whilst helping others in the world. Win win, right?

So that’s about all I want to say about myself. It’s been a fun ride so far, and I intend to keep it going, so why not stick around for it?
